Manifesto

Perfume is not worn.
It is entered, the way one enters
a lit room at dusk, and stays.

ÉTER begins where light ends. Parfum № 1 was composed over four years in Grasse from a single conviction: that amber, warmed, resinous, almost liquid, is the closest scent comes to candlelight. Nothing here is loud. Everything here remains.

The Essence

Amber Absolu

Three movements. One long, slow exhale of gold.

  1. I

    Head

    The first minute

    Calabrian Bergamot · Saffron

Cold light on cut citrus; a red-gold thread of spice.

  2. II

    Heart

    The first hour

    Amber · Labdanum Absolute

Resin softened to honey, the warmth the flacon promises.

  3. III

    Base

    Until morning

    Oud · Madagascan Vanilla

Dark wood and cream, low as a held note, hours deep.

Gold, arrested mid-fall.

The Ritual

Seventy-two hours
in darkness

After blending, Parfum № 1 does not meet light. Each batch macerates for seventy-two hours in blackened steel, at cellar temperature, untouched, the interval in which saffron surrenders to labdanum and the amber accord fuses into a single, seamless warmth.

Only then is it drawn, by hand, into crystal. Our perfumer calls this the ritual of patience: three days that decide the next twelve hours on the skin.

Maceration, hour 41, the essence turning in its vessel
